Happy birthday Hadley girl!!!!
Sunday, June 1, 2014
Well it happened.
My little baby girl turned one whole year old on Friday.
Cue the waterworks. WAHHHHHH.
On Friday Josh took the day off and the three of us celebrated together. We started with a birthday stack of pancakes and homemade strawberry syrup. Hadley loves strawberries so we made lots of strawberry goodies all weekend! We sang happy birthday to her and she was pretty much like... wtf is going on. You guys are weirdos. It was hilarious.
We did lots of dancing, baby doll playing, ice cream eating and snuggling. We also let her play in the dog bowl... I know it's been a dream of hers for months now.
It was a wonderful day.
On Saturday we had lots of friends and family over to celebrate her big day! It was amazingly beautiful out so we spent the day grilling, baking and hanging out in the sun. I thought Hadley might be overwhelmed with all of the people and attention but she had so much fun! She didn't even cry during the happy birthday singing. SHOCKED.
I made her her own personal strawberry shortcake to dive into and strawberry shortcake cupcakes for everyone else. I haven't had too many strawberry shortcakes in my day and they were freakin' delicious. May be a new favorite!
We promise that was empty ;)
It was such a great day spent with our closest loved ones. And Hadley had a blast... which is all that matters!!!
Thank you to everyone who made her big day so special :)
Hadley girl we love you so very much! This first year of your life has been amazing to be a part of. I love watching you grow into such a fun-loving little human. You've already taught me so much and I can't wait for what is to come.
Lots & lots of love,
And lots of photo cred to my dad & Ginger... thank you!!
