At this point I feel like this house may never get finished. I'm in that, "We haven't done anything to it in weeks and the unpacked boxes are laughing at me" stage and it sucks. But honestly, we've just been so damn busy lately and so have our bank accounts so it's just gonna have to wait.
In the mean time... I thought why not do a little curtain hunting to get my inspiration back?!
Done and done.
We've got lots of big windows in this house lining our family room//office//play room space, master bedroom and kitchen. Our neighbors have probably seen us naked a zillion times (sorry, neighbors) so we are in desperate need of some curtains!
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Almost nothing makes a room like a good curtain. I used to never pay attention to them. They only made me think of severe floral patterns and puffiness from the 80s. But luckily, times have changed and so have the curtains.
Here are a few of my current faves..
If you can't tell, I'm def going for something yellow somewhere. Most likely the family room space. I am love, love, LOVING the pom curtains from Anthropologie!! So playful and cute, and it comes in tons of different colors. Score.
Here are the curtains we got for Hadley's nursery last year. I apologize for the dark pics.. I'd take newer ones if they were hung.... buttttt they're not. GO FIGURE.
I was super nervous when we ordered them. It was my first curtain purchase and I thought they might be too overwhelming for the room. Once we hung them I was OBSESSED. The pattern didn't take away from the room at all. If anything, it made it look even more cozy when the sun shone through.
So, what I'm trying to say is.. don't be frightened by the curtain! GO BIG, JUST DO IT! I guarantee it'll tie your whole space together.
Before I sign off, I wanted to give a huge, huge THANK YOU to all of you who checked out the store and even purchased something! You really blew away my expectations and I appreciate all your sweet comments so much.
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!
Mucho + mucho love,
