Our Wedding Invitations
Monday, August 10, 2015
Earlier this year I posted about the DIY Save the Dates we did for our upcoming wedding and now I've finally got our invitations to share with you!
I wanted to keep them in theme with our Save the Dates but in no way wanted to hand paint 100+ invitations again. I scanned one of the painted backgrounds of the Save the Dates and was able to reproduce it for one layer of our invitations and a design for the envelope liners.
Last minute I switched up the design of the invitation because I stumbled on this beautiful tree stump background. It wasn't until after we had them printed that I realized we're saying our vows beneath a big, beautiful Oak tree. It was quite the happy accident!
I ordered our envelope liners through Envelopper and was really pleased with how they turned out. They have lots of different options on their website for you to choose from or you can upload your own design like we did.
We opted out of the traditional suite that includes a details card and RSVP card ultimately to save money. Not only did we save on extra printing costs but we also saved on postage.
It's truly INSANE how much things add up when throwing a wedding shindig so any places where we could save a dolla dolla bill, we went for it! The website has ended up being a great way to capture RSVPs so I have no regrets there.
24 days to go!
