We got our wedding photos back from our photographer and I could not be more excited about them!
They came out beautifully and I think they really captured the fun we had that day :)
The morning of was as chaotic as preparing for a wedding can be with two babies and trying to get the place decorated on our own in just a few hours. It was also hot as hell that day, which I'm shocked you can't really tell how much we we're all sweating in these photos.
Way to go, Brian!
The venue was perfect. I can't say enough good things about the beautiful setting in Frederick, Maryland and all the staff that helped us that day and beforehand.
Our coordinator, Mel, was truly an angel sent from heaven.
I decided to save some dollars by renting my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses from Rent the Runway.
It was honestly a little bit of a crazy experience. Everything with my dress went smoothly but since I had so many bridesmaids we had lots of trouble getting all the dresses in the right sizes and colors. The original plan was to have all the bridesmaids wear the pinkish color dress but the week before the wedding several of them started getting emails from RTR saying they didn't have their dresses reserved anymore. Cue lots of frantic phone calls.
In the end we had to mix and match with two colors but I love how it all turned out.
A big thanks to all my ladies who made the best of the situation.
You all looked so beautiful!!!!
The flower crowns and bouquets were one of my absolute favorite parts of the day. They came out just how I envisioned them and smelled amazing! I'm such a sucker for fresh flowers.
The ceremony was short, sweet and filled with some real man tears :-P
We (or really just me) said our own vows and exchanged rings. Josh was too choked up to get out more than, "I fucking love you" so we kept it classy, as per usual.
For the table numbers, I did the same thing as the floral letters for Nora's nursery but instead of using the dry floral foam I just stuffed them all with moss.
We did some butlered apps during the cocktail hour and they were so tasty. The bacon lollipops, which are literally chunks of glazed bacon, we're a big hit.
For dinner we did a Chipotle buffet.
It was amazing and I highly recommend it for any event, especially a wedding! We had SOO much food leftover. Tons of us had leftovers at the hotel later that night and we had rice saved up for a month afterwards. I think ten people told me I made their dreams come true so for all of you fellow Chipotle lovers,
The band, Snackbar Jones, was the bomb. They played everything from the Temptations to Omi to X Ambassadors. It was such a fun vibe having live music there.
Thank you to all our loved ones who made this day so special. We will remember it forever and we love you all so much!
